We operated the Jerantut Rest House in 1989. In 1992, Hotel Sri Emas and Sri Emas Karaoke was later set up to run as a hotel and restaurant to cater to the increasing number of foreign travelers. We later ventured into establishing a Taman Negara Information center and conduct a Service center for foreign travellers. We were the first in Jerantut to provide information services on Taman Negara and conduct Special Agrotourism by minibus to Taman Negara. Still today we are the only company in the town that runs agrotourism to Taman Negara by minibus. Every morning the minibus to Taman Negara leaving at 8:30 am from Hotel Sri Emas and expected arriving about noon. Briefings on Taman Negara is almost like classroom style on a daily basis at 8:30 pm and 12:30pm.

For the past 10 years not less than 60,000 have attended our daily Taman Negara briefing sessions. As a result we are highly recommended by major foreign guidebooks. In 1993 NKS HOTEL & TRAVEL SDN BHD was registered to operate travel business. In 1994 we were recognised by the Ministry of Culture, Arts and Tourism, Malaysia and were granted a license ( KKKP No. 2716 ) to operate tour services to Taman Negara. In August 1997, the local government took back the Jerantut Rest House and we opened a new hotel named Jerantut Guest House. Since our humble opening in 1989 we are now a small sized group of companies with 2 hotels, the Sri Emas Hotel, Jerantut Guest House & Sri Emas Karaoke as well as a fully licensed tour agency NKS HOTEL & TRAVEL SDN BHD.

In year 2001 we opened a new branch office in Taman Negara with license ( KKKP No. 3804 ) to serve our packages. At the same time, we operated a boat service counter in kuala Tembeling jetty. In 2005 Jerantut Guest House had been changed to NKS Hostel & Cafe, and we move it near to Hotel Sri Emas building.
